Singapore Indie Doc Fest

Started in 2004, the Singapore Indie Doc Fest is the first dedicated documentary film festival in Singapore, featuring documentary films and shorts from Singapore and around the world. The Singapore Indie Doc Fest came about through observations that more filmmakers increasingly turning to documentaries, to explore issues that reflect the specificities of our times and the world we live in. Through the six years that the Singapore Indie Doc Fest has been held, we have seen many documentaries from Singaporean filmmakers, telling personal stories about themselves, or a side of Singapore which we have never seen before. International documentaries serve to show our audiences what is affecting their peers and counterparts around the world, linking filmmakers and audiences through a shared interest in real stories.
