Gangster Nurse

Ever since an accident, Benson Tan Hock Beng who was once known as one of the “Toa Payoh Terrors”, has reformed to join nursing school in hopes to help others and provide for his family. But the past can prove difficult to shake off, when an ex-girlfriend (and some rivals) shows up at the hospital he is now working in to seek medical attention. Other patients find it difficult to accept Benson’s unconventional methods, as he employs clever methods to work around the challenges. Benson’s skills are put to the test when he is trapped in the lift with a pregnant woman ready to give birth. When Covid-19 struck, uncertainties abound. Germophobes display strong prejudice against the healthcare profession – which Benson has to learn to manoeuvre and overcome.

Inspired by a true story, “Gangster Nurse” is a 4eps x 10mins heart-warming comedic series that seeks to generate empathy for those seeking a second chance, and express appreciation for our healthcare workers, especially during times of the pandemic.
