Viddsee For Good is our way of combining our passionate base of storytellers and audiences with partners to raise awareness about social issues, empower the youth, and encourage the sustainable growth of the local filmmaking industry.
As a platform that connects millions through a passion for short films, we know how powerful stories can be in moving emotions, shaping thoughts and inspiring people into action.
We see Viddsee as a canvas for good where multiple stakeholders -- storytellers, corporations, public sector bodies, non-profit organisations, charities, and more -- can work together in bringing change for the better and practice corporate social responsibility.
WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE
Today’s youth are some of the most passionate and creative storytellers of our time. Viddsee For Good aims to give them the resources and connections to ensure that they always have a voice on our platform.
Through the network of storytellers and partners, we aim to create a space for opportunities and conversations for unique Asian stories that will further perspectives of the various local cultures.
Stories play a huge role in helping us understand the diverse cultures, communities, and issues across the world -- and we want to play our part in helping storytellers share the stories that they are most passionate about.
OUR PAST PROJECTS
A regional initiative bringing together our community of storytellers, audiences, and partners to bring hope through films in this challenging COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
We produced a 3-episode documentary series that spotlight the lives of Community Chest beneficiaries. Together with award-winning photojournalist Mindy Tan, the films take viewers through a heartwarming journey observing Singapore’s underprivileged people, bringing to light a more dynamic world that impacts her subjects.
A documentary series made in collaboration with WWF Singapore to educate Singaporeans on pressing environmental issues, and how they can help the country reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
In partnership with DBS’ Portraits of Purpose campaign, we feature the story behind our profiles’ purpose through a defining portrait. Meet Mohammad Nafiz Kamarudin, the founder of a non-profit community group that reaches out to impoverished elderly, namely; the cardboard collectors.
Through promoting films by Singaporean, Malaysian and Filipino filmmakers, we worked with the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) to encourage safe migration and public action to stop exploitation and human trafficking.
Viddsee collaborated with Community Chest to promote Daniel Yam’s short film ‘Gift’, a viral hit that moved audiences through its message of showing kindness and generosity to the less fortunate.
Viddsee collaborated with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and Blue3Asia to promote 15 Shorts, a short film anthology about Singaporeans who performed powerful acts of selflessness -- and revealing how this human, giving side has always been a part of us.
