A lone father-figure tries to survive a famine through the means of unlikely ways while coping with the death of his son. Until one day, he meets a young, homeless boy going through his garbage then offers some of his food with him. Father then adopts and forms a bond with the child as he reminds him of his own son. However, struggles ensue when their own food supply becomes scarce and Father is confronted with the choice between survival or love.
