Dogil is one of the films inspired by the current conditions, the corona pandemic that is felt by the people of our country and other parts of the world. Even the news circulating in the mass media has adorned our television screens for months. Dogil is taken from the Malay language, Tualang District, Siak Regency which means Stubborn, This work tells about the lives of people affected by the corona pandemic and struggling to get through it. This is illustrated by the families of “Fahroza” and “Fahrozi who live with their mother. Their economic condition is far from adequate, coupled with this pandemic, their economic situation is getting tighter. Fahrozi does not believe in the existence of this corona virus outbreak, he is a casual daily worker whose income has decreased due to not being able to work. What's more, his brother (Fahroza) is only an honorary teacher, who gets a salary every 3 months. However, Fahroza always tries to convince his sister to always be careful and follow the health protocol recommended by the government. In addition to their daily work, they are also performers of traditional arts, namely the traditional zapin dance. During the pandemic, many artistic activities were carried out by the local government virtually, one of which was the traditional zapin festival. Fahroza and Fahrozi will join the virtual zapin festival with their friends. They really hope in this virtual zapin competition because that's their only hope to earn money. The squeezed economy, worsening conditions made this family worse off. Fahrozi increasingly distrusts the corona virus pandemic, not because he does not believe it but because of the circumstances that make his heart angry. However his brother warned him to keep from contracting the corona virus, he even harder refused to obey the rules set by the government.
