We hit the streets to see if many know the other name for Fort Canning Hill. Before 1822, it was called Bukit Larangan, or "Forbidden Hill," as it was believed to be the burial site of ancient kings. Early colonials also uncovered 14th-century sandstone foundation blocks hinting at a grand palace once standing on its slopes. Imagine what life would be like if royalty still resided on the hill!
