Last Call on Sunset is about a detective who takes his brother out for one last drink before taking him to prison. It's a film noir about estrangement from one's past and contains themes of loneliness and alienation. The choice to film the movie in black and white was because we wanted to make it feel like we were back in the 30s. We wanted to take a chance and create an authentic and real story. The black and white tone symbolizes the brother's yearning to live in the past when things were simpler.
