Sophia lost her best friend, Wan Fen, to cancer on 18 Feb 2012. A volleyball senior from secondary school, Wan Fen was akin to an elder sister. Upon hearing that her "sister" was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 22, Sophia’s world crumbled. Despite witnessing Wan Fen’s rapid deterioration within a span of a year, Sophia refused to believe that her death would relieve both their pain and thus she struggled with the inevitable. As this year marks the 10th year of Wan Fen’s death anniversary, Sophia dearly reminisces about their good times, including the tattoo that she had gotten in loving memory of her best friend.
