Ray, an obstetrician, becomes obsessed with trying to give his wife, June, a child. While his intentions began purely out of love for his wife, his persistent failures lead him towards darker measures that threaten his marriage. Slowly, his disillusionment with what he is really trying to prove rises to the surface.
