Oanh and Van came to Singapore as "mail-order wives", with the help of a matchmaking agency. They consider themselves lucky to have a stable job and good families here in Singapore. However, a deep longing for their hometowns remain. With their shared nostalgia and memories of Vietnam, the ladies built a second home in the restaurant they work in, forming their own little family.
