Spectre Disco
On an auspicious night, a woman grappling with grief stumbles upon a peculiar connection with an enigmatic stranger at a discotheque.
Director Statement: Grief is a difficult condition that requires respect. From both the person grieving and those who want to help the grieving. Often grief conjures thoughts and questions just as much as emotions.
What ifs, why, what now?
As a result, people try to overcome grief with platitudes, cliches, and answers that feel hollow - because mostly, nobody genuinely has the answers.
What people need and what we can give simply is space. Space to feel, space in our hearts for those who moved on, and space simply to grow as fallible human beings. If anything at all, Spectre Disco is all about how we can afford space even as time marches ever on.
