Elaine, a graduate student, learns that Ah Ma is potentially facing a cancer relapse. She recognises the financial and emotional strain it puts on her parents as they discuss huge sacrifices to ensure Ah Ma’s recovery. When Elaine eventually witnesses the breakdown of her father, she decides that when it’s her time, she would do things differently.
