The Three Blackbirds

HALAL (M/18), a teenager from an Islamic boarding school, has just returned home and is picked up by MARUS (M/48), a bearded religious man. Marus plans a thanksgiving event to celebrate Halal's return and show his pride in his son. However, the night before Thanksgiving, KAN'AN (M/23) takes Halal into a dark situation, trapping him in a room with a woman.

The story explores the father's perspective on men as 'wise, religious men' and 'manly and powerful' brothers, only to find that it couldn't change his 'graceful and graceful' sister. The narrative is set in the backdrop of local customs from Palembang, with an aesthetic on the edge of the Musi River. We aim for this work to be as honest and close to the heart as possible, even as it addresses challenging issues.
