A 9 year-old Chinese girl, Emily, is assigned by her teacher to pair up with a Malay boy, Haziq for a school project. Emily being the top student in class, she despises Haziq and views him as someone who is out of her league. In the midst of trying to get rid of Haziq, Emily finds out a unique trait of Haziq which in turn brings the duo closer and forges an unexpected friendship between them. In the depths of their despair, will this friendship of theirs be strong enough to withstand the storm that is coming their way?
