Trust No One
Ben, a fresh graduate, loses all his savings in a job scam and seeks help from the police and the bank, but his calls for help are quickly dismissed. During a commotion in the bank, Ben is accused of causing a public nuisance. We see Jeanette, the bank’s customer service manager, stepping in to intervene and offer assistance. Ben gains a renewed sense of hope, and pins his faith on Jeanette to aid in his case and help recover his money. When Jeanette returns with news that nothing can be done, Ben decides to escalate his case and expose himself on a talk show, in hopes of garnering public support. However, he soon finds out that the network is only making use of his story to spike up their own ratings, and their unexpected guest, Jeanette, is only making false commentary to protect her own self-interest. Ben finally sees the web of deceit he has been living in all along.
