We Are Things

In a production shoot, Ednis, a 17-year old freelance filmmaker, broke a lighting equipment. The production manager threatens him that he will lose his film career if he can't replace the equipment in two weeks time. The next day, Ednis visits his friend, Omar, for financial advice. Suddenly, his Tito Jobert calls and asked him if he can make a tarpaulin for a very low price. Omar then will refer Ednis to a loan place called "Ubasan"- a place where he can borrow huge amounts of money easily but bound by a blood contract. The two will lineup for Ubasan but the place creeps out Ednis when he sees unusual "human-objects". He urges his friend that they had to leave; however, Omar stays in line. Several days passed, Tita Baby bargains Ednis's talent fee for an event coverage of her daughter. Upon hearing such words, Ednis walks out and then receives an urgent text message from the production manager. Out of desperation, he returns to Ubasan in the midst of fear, claiming his borrowed money and finally paying his debt to the production. However, Ednis didn't pay his loan in Ubasan on time. In exchange, being bound by the blood contract, he becomes a human-object himself for a production shoot where he reunites with Omar that shares the same fate. After some time, Ednis totally becomes an object in a production shoot and at the given moment, he will deliberately fall into the production manager's head as means of his resolution.
